Gold goes to Great Britain with 86.30, silver goes to Australia 100.20 while bronze goes to France with 101.50.

Tom McEwen, Laura Collett and Oliver Townend have won the gold medal in the team eventing competition at the Tokyo Summer Olympics. This is Britain’s first team gold in eventing since Munich.

The British eventing team has won gold after a dominant display in the showjumping competition at Tokyo Equestrian Park. The trio led by 17.9 penalties after their incredible cross-country performance this past weekend.

Then, they retained the top spot with McEwen going clear on Toledo De Kerser, Collett and London 52 having four faults and Townend also having four faults with Ballaghmor Class. However, they did not have any time penalties, meaning that was enough for the gold.

Michael Jung who won the individual eventing gold medal in both London and Rio has found himself in the sixth position after accumulating penalties in the cross country. Despite Germany’s Julia Krajewski leading in the event on Amande d B’Neville with 25.60 penalty points, Germany was fourth at the Olympics.
