These horses will write your emails while on holidays

Iceland has a service that allows you to pick which horses will reply to your emails while you are on vacation in the country. 

The world’s first OutHorse your Email service has been designed to encourage all travelers to take a break and enjoy the countryside uninterrupted. Using a large keyboard mat, horses walk, trot, canter and pace their way across the keys. 

Clients are able to pick the horse that will be replying to their emails, however, you should be warned that they may take a quick nap at work! 

41% of people check their work emails while on vacation

According to a recent study by Visit Iceland, about 41% of people globally check their work email between 1 and 4 times per day while on holidays and 14% do so between 5 and 6 times every day.

Finding balance between work and personal life

As a consequence of the pandemic, many workers have shifted to remote working. Although this brings many benefits, it also blurs out the lines between working and personal lives. 

According to their research, 59% of people feel as if their boss, colleagues and clients expect them to reply even when taking a break. As a result less than half (44%) of employees actually feel rested after their trip.
