Four days of jump racing define the Cheltenham Festival: one of the best horse racing events in Britain. This equestrian competition is happening right now until the 19th of March. Each of the 28 races offers something different in this competition. Moreover, this year spectators will be able to enjoy the racing from home, as the race will take place behind closed doors.
Day One of the competition at the Cheltenham Racecourse has already set a high standard after intense horse racing. We are able to imagine how these four days of racing are going to be like in this equestrian sport.
One of the most dazzling races of the entire Festival is without a doubt the Betway Queen mother Champion Chase. Over a distance of two miles, competitors will have to perfectly mix speed and balance when surpassing 13 fences on the Cheltenham’s Old Course.
The challenging criteria for this race mixes endurance and skills. This means that many chasers have tried unsuccessfully to win this championship race, however, only the most talented rise with victory in this horse racing event.
While the Gold Cup final is all about stamina, the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase focuses on speed. Europe's top chasers are hoping to add their name to the Roll of Honour in a tight competition with no clear winners on the line.
The Cheltenham Festival 2021 is partnering with the WellChild charity to help sick children across Britain to receive the support they need with their families. For this cause, the Festival will have an auction and all benefits from this event will be destined to the NGO.
Friday 19th marks the end of the Cheltenham Festival with the Gold Cup. We are excited to find out the winners of one of Britain’s most important horse competitions.
